As always, mailing list subscribers get a special deal on the new release. Most of my books will be $4.99 (waaaaaaay cheaper than most books you'll find in a bookstore), but for the first 2 days after release it'll be $2.99, and basically only mailing list subscribers get to know about it. So sign up now!
You'll also get all my short stories for free--I'll point you to a secret page on this website where you can download them all--there's currently 4, but I add to them throughout the year.
This book was fun to write. I took little longer on this one than I did with The Terran Gambit and Chains of Destiny, mainly because I needed a little break from writing the same characters. So I took some time off to write Initiate, and work on some other writing projects, and when I came back to writing Into the Void I was fresh and ready to go. There's motorcycle chases, more space battles than you can shake a phaser at, gunfights, fistfights, verbal sparring--yeah, lots of conflict. And I finally get to reveal certain things about certain characters, which I'll build more on in the coming books. Let's just say not everyone in The Pax Humana Saga is who they seem to be. That's why I love military space opera--it's an excuse to let your tech imagination run wild, and still bring it back to humans caught in an intergalactic drama. Very fun stuff.
What else is new? The Initiate series is coming along nicely. It's a new novel I'm writing about an assassin nun in space, but I've decided to split it up into 4 parts and publish them every month or so. The first episode is exclusively in the Stars and Empire multi-author boxset, which is currently rocketing up the charts at amazon!
Let's see, what else am I up to....
I'm writing a super secret Space SciFi book involving Nasa, the orion, mariner, pioneer, and voyager spacecraft, aliens, ships, UFOs, conspiracies, and lots of action-y goodness. Stay tuned--I don't know if I'll announce it here since I might publish it under a new name, so sign up for that mailing list if you want to get an announcement when it's published.
Ok, you ask, what's the deal? Why am I so actively pushing people to my mailing list? The answer is simple--it's really hard to get visibility on Amazon (or any other retailers) these days. If a book does not perform well during it's first month, chances are the internal algorithms at Amazon will decide it's not worth promoting to its customers. So I need to make as many sales during that first month as humanly possible to encourage Amazon's algorithms to do just that: promote the book to its other customers. I hate spam with as much of a fiery passion as you do, so I promise not to send you email after email after email. I only use it to announce a new release. Honestly, I think I've sent 4 this whole year. And I never give out your email address to anyone. So what are you waiting for? Free stuff!
